Menlo Electric operated as a B2B photovoltaic-module wholesaler and distributor serving installers, distributors, and solar projects. Its model required substantial funding for procurement, inventory, customer payment terms, and cross-border logistics. In 2022, the company combined mBank financing, KUKE and KUKE Finance limits, supplier distribution agreements, factoring, and a European logistics network to pursue international scale. It served close to 20 countries, operated seven European logistics hubs, and signed distribution agreements worth more than EUR 100 million for 2022. Public business data shows revenue rising from approximately PLN 227 million in 2021 to approximately PLN 715 million in 2022, with net profit increasing from approximately PLN 7.486 million to PLN 16.320 million. In 2023, revenue fell to approximately PLN 666–680 million and net profit to approximately PLN 3.040 million. The company’s website stated by 2026 that it had ended operations. The evidence supports rapid growth, but not a proven single cause of failure.
Glass Express: Why Revenue Growth Failed to Prevent Liquidation
Glass Express expanded automotive glass repair coverage through regional platforms and mobile teams, increasing group revenue from about €20 million in 2024 to about €27 million in 2025. However, insurance-reimbursement delays, accounting disorder, and intra-group cash advances did not keep pace with expansion. After entering judicial restructuring on April 30, 2026, the company was placed into judicial liquidation on September 10, 2026.
